MEDICALLY ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT) at Healing Rock Recovery

Safe & Effective Support for Substance Use Recovery

How does Healing Rock’s Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program work?

Healing Rock Recovery provides Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) to support individuals facing opioid, alcohol, and other substance use disorders. We do offer FDA-approved medications—including Vivitrol, Brixadi, Antabuse, Suboxone, Subutex, and others—as part of our integrated treatment approach.

MAT combines carefully prescribed medications with evidence-based therapy and holistic care to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, and help prevent relapse. By supporting both the body and mind, MAT creates a stable foundation for healing and long-term sobriety.

Our MAT services are available within our Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Virtual Treatment programs. This means clients receive medication management alongside individual therapy, group counseling, trauma-informed care, and wellness support—all under medical supervision.

MAT can be especially helpful for individuals who have:

  • Experienced frequent relapses or failed attempts at sobriety

  • Struggled with painful or dangerous withdrawal symptoms

  • Difficulty staying engaged in recovery without medical support

  • Co-occurring mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, or PTSD

By addressing the biological and psychological aspects of addiction at the same time, Healing Rock helps clients build the resilience, clarity, and confidence needed to sustain recovery and regain control of their lives.

What to expect in a MAT program?

Healing Rock Recovery offers a personalized, structured approach to recovery through Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT). While we are not a licensed Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), we provide a range of FDA-approved medications as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that combines medical care, therapy, and holistic support.

FDA-Approved Medications We Offer Include:

  • Buprenorphine (Suboxone®, Subutex®, Sublocade®): Helps reduce opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms, allowing clients to stabilize without daily dosing.

  • Naltrexone (Vivitrol®): A non-addictive, once-monthly injection that blocks the effects of opioids and alcohol and helps prevent relapse.

  • Brixadi®: A long-acting injectable form of buprenorphine, providing extended support for individuals in opioid recovery.

  • Disulfiram (Antabuse®): Creates a sensitivity to alcohol that discourages drinking by causing unpleasant physical reactions.

  • Acamprosate (Campral®): Helps regulate brain chemistry and reduce alcohol cravings during early recovery.

  • Off-label and adjunctive medications: In certain cases, our medical team may also prescribe non-addictive medications to manage cravings, anxiety, or sleep disturbances, based on individual needs.

What Makes Our MAT/MOUD Program Different?

  • Comprehensive Medical Oversight: Our licensed providers closely monitor each client’s progress, adjust medication as needed, and ensure a safe and supportive environment during stabilization and ongoing care.

  • Integrated Behavioral Health: Medication is only part of the solution. Clients also participate in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, and relapse prevention.

  • Whole-Person Wellness: Healing Rock incorporates mindfulness, nutrition, movement therapy, and outdoor experiences to support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

  • Flexible Treatment Options: MAT is available across our Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Virtual Treatment programs, allowing clients to receive support in a setting that fits their lifestyle.

  • Long-Term Planning: We work with each individual to build a personalized strategy for maintaining sobriety, navigating triggers, and achieving long-term recovery goals.

Whether you’re beginning your recovery journey or continuing after detox or residential treatment, our MAT and MOUD services are designed to help you stay grounded, supported, and successful.
